It's an All-Occassion!!!

It's no secret that I struggle making cards...I really do! It's easier for me to whip up and doll up a layout than it is to create an intricate card to express my deepest feelings. What I find the most difficult with creating cards is that the space is smaller and I feel very pressured to use eye catching colours and patterns. So imagine my surprise when I looked at my Urban Lily papers and realized how easy peasy it was to mix and match between the collections! Once I made this discovery, I just had to whip up a few cards!

Here they are!

And guess what? Making cards with Urban Lily papers has been (in the words of my youngest daughter) "easy peasy lemon squeezy!" LOL

Thanks for letting me share!

Fresh

The colors and patterns on the Urban Lily papers are so fresh and sweet that I had to use them to scrap a picture of myself out picking strawberries this past spring. I love going out to pick fresh fruits and vegetables. We grow our own garden and make trips to farms for things like strawberries, blueberries, apples, and pumpkins! In fact, with October right around the corner, I'm very excited for pumpkin picking! It was wonderful reliving the memories of strawberry picking with my family while I put this page together

The reds of the Urban Lily Lulu paper from the lulliloo line were perfect for the strawberries. I matched that up with circles from Hyperactive in the mooch collection and the beautiful sweet phrase from the Beautiful paper in the Happy everything collection. The title was created using the wonderful Urban Cut alphabet and I framed the picture and my journaling with one of the secret keeper windows. (Shh, don't tell, but those secret keeper windows are still my favorite Urban Lily item!) As usual, the entire page is held together with the super awesome Helmar adhesives.

It's raining outside here, now, and I hope when it stops the world feels fresh and crisp and ready for fall. Rachel

A "Sassy" little sign....

My little one has been begging me to make her a sign for her bedroom door, so I let her go through my stash and pick out what she would like me to use. She went straight for the Urban Lily "MayElla" collection and picked out the "Sassy" paper. That's my girl!

I covered my sign with a big swatch of the paper, then I cut out the "Frame" from a sheet of the "Bliss" paper. I also cut out a butterfly and put it off to the side to use later. I used a sheet of the "Urban Cuts" alphabet to cut out her name, then I added it using some Helmar Liquid Scrapdots.

Finally, I covered my butterfly in White and Black Glitter, then added it to the sign as my finishing touch. Liquid Scrapdots helps give it the dimension and height I was looking for to really make it pop. Add a nice piece of ribbon and you're done! What could be simpler?

See you next time,
Marci

What Drives Me Crazy? by Virginia

If I didn't know better, I think my daughter was born with gills instead of lungs! She absolutely adores the water and never tires of it...so much so that she would say consistently at swimming lessons..."Mommy, guess what drives me crazy?" And I'd say...what???

Imagine my glee when I found an Urban Lily chipboard circle with the exact quote!!!  Here is my layout below-

Supplies: Urban Lily (pattern papers - Sugarhigh, Gossip, Chipboard Circles), ribbon (source unknown); Tattered Angels glimmer mist (chocolate chip mint); flowers (Making Memories); Kaisercraft (pearls)

And a close-up of the chipboard circle...

Dream Big

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by today. I am so enjoying the crispness that fall brings. The leaves are starting to change colors and I'm starting to think to Halloween.

Today I've got a few cards to share with you using the Everyday Lily collection, Mayella Collection and Blink Collection.

This first card is created using the Everyday Lily Collection. I think this is one of my absolute favorite lines from Urban Lily. The softness of the colors mixed with the distressed edges really makes me smile.

I used the Linen, Sushi Stripe,  and Sushi papers to create the card.

Next I've got my favorite creation for Urban Swank to date. Everything just came together so easily with these papers. A little bit of Ink, some Blackout in the center, a flower from Linen and that sweet little bird from Linen Dots. I can't forget the letters. Those letters in the sentiment are from the Urban Cut Collection. I finished them with a little Rocky Candy stickles.

Hope you liked my creations today. Stop on by the Scrap-tastic store to grab some yummy Urban Lily products.

Those Magic Moments

Every so often you capture a moment that's pure magic. No explanation is needed, just the photo itself says a thousand words. Such is case with this photo of my little Anna, standing by the river on a sunny afternoon with a halo of sunbeams around her head.....pure magic.

I chose the "Happy Everything" collection for my layout. I love the bright colors of that collection, and the patterns can be cut and used so many ways. I started with the "Celebrate" paper as my mat, and cut all of the butterflies out to add as embellishments. I cut up the "Forever" paper and overlapped my mat. I added a large butterfly with Helmar Liquid Scrapdots for some awesome dimension.

I used one of the ATC Cards to make a journaling spot by adding a rub on. I cut it out and then I added a butterfly on top.

For my title, I used one of the "Mini Book Bright" Urban Cuts as a base for my title. It has the word "Moment" on it, so I layered it under my photo and added the word Magic on top.

Urban Lily Supplies:
Paper: Happy Everything "Celebrate", "Forever"
ATC Cards
Urban Cut "Mini Book Brights"
Rub Ons: "Framed Fill Ins"

Have an awesome weekend!
Stay Safe and Scrap Happy ;)

Memory Photocards - Polka Dot

Hello! I am Akiko. The 12-inch layout which uses Memory Photocards-Polka Dot is introduced today.

Supplies:
Memory Photocards-Polka Dot
Lulu - Lulliloo Collection
Hyperactive - Mooch Collection
Ink - Blink Collection
Accents by Urban Lily
Answer It Chipboard

other - stamps,ink,pen,brads,stickers

It carried out the half cut and folded the portion of the card. And it has stopped by brads. I am using many stamps with this work. Although it is a simple layout, it is adopting the very unique way of making.

Supplies:
Raw - Mooch Collection
Memory Photocards - Polka Dot
Answer It Chipboard

other - stamps,ink,Glimmer mist,brads,stickers,craftspunch

I got the hint from Memory Photocards-Polka Dot and created this layout. The paper of the background was colored using Glimmer mist of green, blue, red, and pink.

These were cut using the craft punch of a flower and colored mist the flower using the stamp.

Thank you for stopping at the Urban Swank blog today also!

What do I Believe In?

How are you all today? Hope you are all back in the "school groove" and enjoying a little of the first days of fall. Today I've got a few projects to share with you and I hope that you love em.

First off some wrapped chipboard with some great Urban Lily papers. For this card I used the Impish papers from the Mayella Collection. I cut them into odd length strips and adhered them directly to the cardstock. The leaf is cut from the Bliss paper, which is also from the Mayella Collection. And finally a little butterfly cut from the Celebrate papers from the Happy Everything collection

Next a card using papers from the Sugary Collection. I used the Honey, Midsummer and Breeze papers. The chipboard circle is from the Answer it Chipboard pack.
I just love the color combinations in all of the collections. Such wonderful hues and colors that I wouldn't think to put together. Yummo!!!

Urban Lily papers are wonderful to work with. I love how all of the collections can me mixed and matched up to create some amazing looks. I believe you will love them too. Take a gander over at Scrap-tastic for you Urban Lily needs.

Until Next Time

Toodles

The best way to remember

When things get really busy; the kids go back to school, work picks up, activities start new or continue; the best way to have a good time is to go back through the photos from earlier in the summer when we weren't so rushed to get from place to place and just remember that we had fun.

The page I'm sharing with you today is of my son playing with a foam airplane at my cousin's house. He was having such a blast, doing exactly what a boy should do - crashing the plane, running in circles, making jet noises. I was so happy watching him!

I used Urban Cut minibook bright to create the title and color blocks and to punch the birds out of the orange square from the minibook. The background is my favorite Urban Lily paper from the sugary line, it's Apple. I've sprayed it with some glimmer mist and layered the photos and color blocks right in the middle. I also added some stitching to the top and bottom corners where I placed my journaling.

The page came together quickly with the use of Helmar adhesives so it was easy to fit its creation into the busier family schedule that comes with September.

red flowers cards by Polinka

Hi again!!

Here are a few quick cards, using only 2 paper sheets, both from Urban Lily, a sewing machine and some Helmar glue...

The papers I used:
Apple by Urban Lily - Sugary Collection

Bloss by Urban Lily - Sugary Collection

I simply cut the flowers out of the Bloss paper, stitched lines on the green Apple paper with my sewing machine and red thread, and finally sticked the flowers back on top :)
I added a frame on one of the card for a more modern look...

Do you like them? I think it keeps summer alive ;)

Have a great day,

Polinka

Hello everyone ! It's Aida here and I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Aside from scrapbooking, I've always loved photography but when girls were young, there was very little time to indulge in it. Finally now, with both being older and a purchase of a DSLR, I am able to delve more thoroughly into this engrossing hobby. Below is a layout of a few photos of subjects I like - food, scrap products and nature.

The details :

Urban Lily products used :

Breeze - Sugary Collection

Sushi Dots - Everyday Lily Collection

Linen Stripe - Everyday Lily Collection

I hope you like the layout, thanks for coming by !!
